Weston Christian Church, located in scenic Weston, Missouri, is an integral part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada and is committed to the historic principles of that body. The purpose of this congregation shall be, as revealed in the New Testament:
- to fulfill The Great Commission given by Christ (Matthew 28:19-20), “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” and commit them actively to our redemptive fellowship in the Body of Christ;
- to help them grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ, that increasingly they may know and do God’s will;
- and to work for the unity of all Christians, and in all ways, seek to make known the love of God in the world.
Disciples Reaching Out in Missions
“Pennies from Heaven”: A local mission offering taken each Sunday morning. Loose pocket change has impacted the lives of many in our community
United Services Food Pantry: We collect food items to support the need in Platte County throughout the year.
Apple Dumpling Mission: Over the past 15 years, during the winter months, the church produces homemade apple dumplings to support our church ministries. These are for sale during Weston’s Applefest and the Christmas Homes Tour.
